CIFF Guangzhou | The BRI Turkish and Malaysian Pavilions’ Growth Stories

Over the years, CIFF Guangzhou has actively sought new pathways to integrate with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRl), introducing multiple featured overseas pavilions to bring global audiences rich home furnishing cultural content and innovative design concepts from different countries and regions.

 

At the CIFF Guangzhou Phase one Home Furniture, exhibitors and overseas pavilions from countries and regions such as Italy, the United States, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, Turkey, Malaysia and India will participate in the International Pavilion. In this issue, we will present the growth stories of the Turkey and Malaysia BRI Pavilions at the CIFF Guangzhou.

Turkey boasts over 45,000 furniture manufacturers exporting to 213 countries worldwide, occupying a significant position in the global home furnishing market. The Turkish Pavilion, which has participated for 15 consecutive years, has deep ties with the International Pavilion and has grown substantially at CIFF Guangzhou.

Mr. Ahmet Güleç, Vice Chairman of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly(TİM) and chairman of the board Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED), notes that this has played an important role in connecting Turkey and China commercially and culturally, bringing more development opportunities to Turkey’s home furnishing industry. This year, the Turkish Pavilion will feature 15 companies exhibiting in Hall 8.1 at the Home Furniture International Pavilion.

 

At CIFF Guangzhou, the Turkish Pavilion will present solutions combining innovation, aesthetics, and sustainability aimed enhancing comfort in living spaces, such as flexible, customizable modern modular furniture. The featured products embody both local characteristics and international vision, creating minimalist yet refined living spaces for global consumers, reflecting the innovative spirit of Turkey’s home furnishing industry.

Similarly, as a member of CIFF Guangzhou’s overseas network, the collaboration between the Malaysian Pavilion and CIFF Guangzhou can be traced back to 2006. Starting from a small booth of only 300 square meters, the pavilion has gradually occupied an area of 5,000 square meters. This figure not only witnesses the growth footprints of Malaysian enterprises on the CIFF platform but also reflects the increasingly prominent performance of the Malaysian home furnishing industry on the global stage.

Malaysia is a crucial partner in jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). In 2024, China and Malaysia celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The BRI has greatly expanded trade channels and opportunities, introducing new clients and collaborators to the Malaysian home furnishing industry and significantly raising its global profile. At this years Home Furniture International Pavilion, the Malaysian Pavilion along with 18 Malaysian enterprises will showcase their products in Hall 6.1-8.1.

 

The Malaysian Pavilion at CIFF Guangzhou showcases a wide range of products that perfectly blend heritage craftsmanship and modern design. Chinese consumers have fallen in love with Malaysias wooden and rattan furniture collections, appreciating their one-of-a-kind aesthetics, environmental friendliness, and cultural authenticity.
